What’s required
 
-TO have a valid driving license-no more than 6 points 
-Minimum knowledge of the city from where you are applying for
-Private hire license ( PCO license ) for being able to work as an Uber driver
If you dont have a private hire license you can apply for it: cost will be around £470( for more info: use the contact form )
Driving license has to be 3 years old in order to get the PCO license

What kind of smart phone device is required?
Any smartphone capable of running the Uber partner app with at least 4Gb of data per month available just for the app
 
Anything between Iphone 5 and 6 or 
Anything between Samsung , HTC, LG , Sony- minimum 2013 top models( like Galaxy S4, Z3, M8. G3), i will advise you trying to get at least 2014 model to have good performance
THese days is very easy to upgrade your contract and to get the latest model!!
 
Or you can always use Uber phone and pay weekly subscription!!
 
What kind of insurance is required?
Commercial insurance, for goods and passengers.
When you go for a quote you will say you need insurance for private hire
 
Where can I drive? Where can I pick-up?
Its entirely up to you as long as you comply with local council rules

There is a rank system for every airport, when you are first on the position you will get the first job
You can check airport arrivals time so you can make an idea about the flux of people landing and from where!!!!

Taxis and Limousines: 
All passengers using taxis and private hire vehicles (PHV) MUST wear a seat belt.

Be careful guys, they are chasing us in places where there is no other way to stop than double red or taxi rank ( like Shoreditch house ebor st ~) and will give warnings for not wearing your badge around the neck and picking up from taxi rank, i dont know what will happen if you will get 2 warning letters from TFL but is better to avoid.
It happened to me last night even if i had my badge under the mirror where is more visible than wearing around neck, but they dont care , my guess is that they are somehow under pressure from black drivers

Off on a one week cruise to Norway (to see the fjords) during the second week of July.
My client has a two week holiday, so decided to make the most of it, while he's away. 
Maybe going to Dusseldorf, during the August Bank Holiday as well.

- took out the sim and inserted in my old phone ( Samsung S3 ), now i have waze and no more headache trying to figure out the traffic, very efficient

I heard from many people that black cabs are sending their wife's and daughters to request uber and then after the job making complains to Police that the uber driver abused them sexually -------> effect ------> your uber account deactivated . your licence suspended until the court will hear your case which can be 1 year and minim 6 months.
 
One friend got deactivated same reason and now is looking for a job
 
So be very careful there and i suggest to all of you to invest some money in dash cam.

Drivers who want to get on, don't stay and "grow" with the company. 
 
They get themsevles an operator's licence and start up a company themselves. They can use Uber for extra work, when they are quiet with their own jobs. 

Soon, we will have to work 14 hours so we can survive with this greedy uber

With this news, drivers will lose interest and respect for Uber, no more water , candies, nice chat with customres because they will not feel motivated anymore, is just like any other cab company.
 
On the long term i am afraid this is not going to be ok, already i hear loads of bad stories from people using X, bad stories, those drivers dont care anymore about clients since prices went down.
 
Except some people who doesnt have any confidence in them and they think uber is the dream job, but obviously uber doesnt care about the experienced drivers who are generating a good image for UBER

After three half-days as a driver, 26 rides, 411 dollars earned and meeting many interesting people, I only really have a single negative thing to say about the experience. It's how society treat drivers. Come to think of it, it occurred to me that taxi drivers are low on the social totem pole, which I think is terrible. I hope that Uber will help people open up their cars more and maybe remove this stigma. Because it's carsharing, not a taxi service.
