fullpower reacted to imperator in Uber surge price and bad ratings
Last night was busy, made good money, surge 80% of the time but as usual rating dropped like flies. I dont get it, why do they acccept such high fares when they can use a different company like Addison lee or even black cabs and then give us 1 star.
I mean no one is forcing them to accept 2.0X price but yet they do it

fullpower reacted to prouber in 2019 ULEZ private hire vehicles requirements
Private Hire ULEZ requirements
From 8 April 2019, all PHVs travelling in the ULEZ zone must meet certain emissions standards or pay a £12.50 charge per day:
Petrol cars, vans and minibuses must be Euro 4 Diesel cars, vans and minibuses must be Euro 6 The emissions standard of your vehicle can usually be determined from the date of its first registration as new, which is shown on the vehicle's registration document known as the V5C.
Read our page on complying with ULEZ for more information on checking the emissions of your vehicle.
In addition to the ULEZ requirements, the licensing requirements for PHVs will change to encourage uptake of zero emission capable PHVs from 2020. These requirements will apply to PHVs across the whole of London, not just those travelling in the ULEZ.
So, from 2019 we will pay £12 if you're not euro6!

fullpower got a reaction from Johny in Would they have banned uber if its drivers had been white and british?
It bothers you?

fullpower reacted to haji in Uber loses its licence to operate in London
THey can appeal until 13 oct and then during the process Uber can function without any problem. The appeal can go on for years....easy as that.
THe thing is TFL is bigger than uber when it comes to revenues gross, nothing compared with Ubers previous local gov fights, this it it for them

fullpower reacted to josh in Uber electric cars range
Tesla 3 will be the best in my opinion, we need to wait for it unilt 2018. with 5k from uber and another 5k from the government we should be able to get for around 20k which is not bad for a full electric brand new car.
The range is around 200 miles !

fullpower reacted to Oledriver in Rating protection?
Sometimes riders might give their trip a low rating for reasons beyond your control – such as an issue with the app.
Previously, these ratings would have counted towards your overall rating, even if they weren’t a reflection of your service. Now, these ratings won’t count towards your score. Uber will still get the feedback to help us improve but it won’t impact your overall rating.
GUESS WHAT, the rating from different minorities background will still be low!!!
I am curious about this change if we can feel it?

fullpower reacted to george in Points on drive license
6 is the max indeed and like Darren said, will be very expensive to insure the car as well. I have a friend with 6 points , 15 years driving experience, 41 years old, insurance is £420 a month

fullpower reacted to puber in Uber drivers caught planning surge price
It seems like some foolish drivers have been talking on a different platform to plan a surge price, like getting offline to minimise the supply and force the surge. Which can be good on the short term but always on the long term will be negative because uber will simply take more drivers because of that.
You might earn £20 more today but tomorrow you will wonder why your income is dropping -> because there are too many cars around you, thats why!
Think about it....

fullpower reacted to MancX in Is it worth to join uber as a driver in Manchester?
How does Manchester being a 'second London' with much investment put into it, make Uber earnings any good?
Increased population = increased drivers = less money.
Driving Private Hire in Manchester payed noticeably more money before Uber came along.
Even drivers in the 80's and 90's in Manchester earned far more money than drivers do now. That was before huge investment was put into the city, before large scale immigration and population increase. The result of the above has forced Manchester's working class to share their collective 'wealth' with newcomers. Thus leaving Mancunians worse off.
Projects like the so-called Northern Powerhouse are a huge con. Of no benefit to ordinary people who see their earnings decrease, communities broken, congestion, pollution, stress. Green belt/brown belt built on. Increased crime, or seemingly so. Concrete jungle.
'Second London' and huge investment only benefits big business.
Manchester will lose much of what makes it a great place.
