george replied to googlenews's topic in Money Money Money
Bullshit, everything is better in terms of income but the problem is only with uber and if one customer makes a fake complain, you're out and no more income. You have no powers to prove that you are inocent -

Transport industry automation risk level
george replied to fullpower's topic in Gadgets-Technology-Uber dashboard
Yes, but the roads from London are pre-cars designed, same roads when people used horses. Way too big the changes for drivers-less technology on LOndon, outside yes, it can be done! -
10. WE SUPPORT THAT AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES (AVS) IN DENSE URBAN AREAS SHOULD BE OPERATED ONLY IN SHARED FLEETS. Due to the transformational potential of autonomous vehicle technology, it is critical that all AVs are part of shared fleets, well-regulated, and zero emission. Shared fleets can provide more affordable access to all, maximize public safety and emissions benefits, ensure that maintenance and software upgrades are managed by professionals, and actualize the promise of reductions in vehicles, parking, and congestion, in line with broader policy trends to reduce the use of personal cars in dense urban areas. https://cei.org/blog/uber-wants-make-it-illegal-operate-your-own-self-driving-car-cities

A fully automated fleet could save the company around £900m a year, with a potential profit of more than £1bn! Super chargers implementation is the first step towards full auto AI cars!

I think is just a cover for automated fleet implementation, A fully automated fleet could save the company around £900m a year, with a potential profit of more than £1bn! They need smart roads, fast charging points, so there are some critical points to be achieved before arrival of AI, this is the first!

Uber ordered 24,000 Volvo XC90 to form a fleet of driverless vehicles between 2019-2021. You have 3 years to get rid of your finance or find a different job, machines will take over , trust me. IS not just Uber, all the big players doing the same thing. 24,000 drivers will be replaced until 2021 by machines fact https://techcrunch.com/2017/11/20/uber-orders-24000-volvo-xc90s-for-driverless-fleet/

Be very careful, so many new agents from TFL making our days miserable, DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT taking the risk of PRIVATE JOBS, if you cant prove the job was prebooked. UR licence is gone!

How do you think Uber calculates which driver receives the job??? Maybe a queue of all drivers within 5 minutes reach to the customer, based on driver’s waiting time, distance and rating or car age? I think is just rating and car age!!!

Is way better than Ioniq and will cost the same, 250 miles range compared to 150. Start selling in spring 2018

You need to exchange it, send the current one along with some sort of ID like passport and then you will get the back the Uk version You can drive in Great Britain on a full, valid driving licence from another EU country. You can drive in Great Britain until you’re 70. If you’re 68 or over when you become resident, you can drive for 3 years. After this time you must exchange your licence. Order form D1 from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). Send the form, the £43 fee and any documents you need (including your driving licence) to the address on the form. You should get your new licence within 3 weeks. You can only drive in Great Britain with a non-EU licence for 12 months after you arrive. https://www.gov.uk/exchange-foreign-driving-licence

You must hold a full DVLA, Northern Ireland, or other EEA state driving licence that's at least three years old. It doesnt matter as long you're from EU. In order to be licensed, you will need to meet the following criteria: You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of applying. There is no upper age limit, as long as you meet the other licensing requirements You must hold a full DVLA, Northern Ireland, or other EEA state driving licence that's at least three years old You must have the right to live and work in the UK You must be of good character. To establish this you will be required to undertake an 'enhanced' criminal records check from DBS through our service provider - GBGroup You must be medically fit which means meeting the DVLA Group 2 standards. In most cases, this will mean that you will have to undergo a medical examination with someone who has access to your full medical history You will need to undertake a topographical skills assessment from an accredited assessment centre

Uber loses its licence to operate in London
george replied to basescu's topic in London Uber Drivers
The opportunity is here, if you pay drivers more than £1 per mile and thereafter not take 30% commission you can retain drivers. Uber has the best product for the consumer who has no worries about the driver who is living out of his car and driving 14 hours a day, 7 days a week ??? I think the industry has moved on a positive direction, disruption welcome !!! The giant is wounded -
10 electric cars coming in the next 3 years 1 – Tesla Model 3 2 – 2018 Nissan LEAF with over 200 miles of range 3 – Nissan IDS all-electric concept with autonomous features 4 – Audi Q6 e-tron quattro SUV 5 – Audi A9 e-tron https://electrek.co/2016/12/26/10-electric-cars/

Of course can afford to pay those £3mil, is nothing for them compared with the net gross from London market, but those small other companies which represent maybe 30% from the market will slowly slowly disappear, If a local company cab company cant afford to pay the new rates and close down, where do you think their customers will move to??? Uber Uber pays £3mil but gains much more on the long term, good deal ! Well done for them

BULLSHIIT!!!! what an assholes, spreading the shit they made on everyone "This arrangement is completely compliant within the existing UK law, and is a common practice within the industry" NO is NOT a fukin common practice u twat
