  2. Motorists have been hit with more than £500 million in fines since variable speed limits were introduced on UK roads in 2013 – with research revealing that one in eight of those caught simply didn’t realise lower speed limits were being enforced THis is it, soon we will have auto-pilot cars, smart motorways, 0 jobs http://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/revealed-the-smart-motorways-most-likely-to-hit-you-with-a-ticket/ar-BBBbYGA?li=AA8sb7&ocid=spartandhp
  3. This is from London mate, in Manchester I was just visiting. I agree long hours indeed, but then again many people work for £1,300/month and they don't have the luxury to own a car. Nothing is perfect mate
  4. No mate, why do you say this? Of course people are making those kinda of money otherwise you will not see so many cars online, right? AS I said on the other post, London is expensive Where are you based if you don't mind asking and what is your hourly average?

  7. I think customers should be more aware of how serious the rating system can affects us: -4 stars for them is like average where for us a 4 stars rating means deactivation -3 stars is like not so great and for us is big problem -1 and 2 stars should be used only for serious issues like assault or...

  10. I was in Manchester for about 1 week and every evening surge, for X and EXec, is booming although he prices are smaller than London , I wonder if would be the same for Manchester in about 2 years time-same surge pattern was in London 2 years ago and now is fkin hard to make your money....
  11. In London you make around £800-900 for 50 hours driving for x, but then again the cost of living is much higher....so go for uber as you have nothing to lose right? 2 fishing sticks instead of one
  12. http://www.recode.net/2017/3/20/14982926/uber-mapping-brian-mcclendon-steps-down Brian McClendon, the vice president of maps at Uber, is leaving the company after close to two years, the company has confirmed. McClendon joined the ride-hail company after more than 10 years of working at Google’s mapping department. “Mr. McClendon is departing amicably from Uber and will be an adviser to the company,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement, noting he was “moving back to Kansas where he is from to explore politics. His exit has been in the works for some time and his last day at Uber is March 28.” McClendon’s is the latest in a series of departures from the company, which has been shaken by recent accusations of sexual harassment and sexism, leading CEO Travis Kalanick to admit he needs to “grow up” and commit to hiring a chief operating officer.
  13. Have you tried to contact them via help page? https://help.uber.com/en-GB/h/fe41e668-b240-4a8b-b284-dc75c4080a49
  14. I know for a fact there are thousands of EXEC drivers but I am not sure about LUX, it can not be more than 1000, any thoughts?
  15. So many problems with the new Hybrid cars except the Japanese ones , research before buying
  16. Uber is losing too much money (way more than either Amazon or MS), and the two possible paths to survival are not getting appreciably closer. They either need to replace drivers with automation, or monopolize the market significantly enough to set profitable rates.
  17. OMG, 60k more cars and majority of them in city, no wonder I cant move anymore..... the math is so simple, why is the mayor allowing this???
  18. Guys please make sure you check before apply for an English test, confirm with TFL the certificate is good and recognised by them. There are currently two approved interim English language test providers: Trinity College London and IELTS (International English Language Test System https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/taxis-and-private-hire/english-language-requirement
  19. Drive smart guys, I don't understand people who go straight to Mayfair and expect to make big money when all the people from there they don't travel more than 2 miles....
  20. I think courier driver is better than uber driver as you don't have to pay for the car. fuel, insurance....you get £500 /week and no hassle

  22. When people ask you what do you do for living? What do you say? -I am driving for umber and make £5k per month? - Private chauffer? - My own business ? - Self employed? - Minicab driver? Are you proud?
  23. I agree By far this is the best phone holder I have ever used in my car or seen used by others. Best £12 invested so far WUTEKU car holder £12 on Amazon The magnet is so subtle on the back of your phone and actually looks nice. It even works through a thin plastic case. The piece that sticks to your dashboard is so very stable and secure and once in place, it rotates to wherever you would like your phone pointing.
