  1. Guys now i understand why i don't catch big jobs any more: I was on Queens gate for 1h in the morning and i could see loads of cars disappearing around me, at one moment i was the only one in Chelsea, then i opened the client app to see if i can receive jobs, i put the pin exactly where i was and guess what: AS a destination I put Terminal 2 Heathrow and all the jobs went to drivers far away from me, they were receiving the job request and then when i typed a different destination (£10 job) like Sloane square i got the job, what a joke !!! Check the print-screens: ps: I know people will say, oh wait those guys they had the destination set to Heathrow but i was having the same and it never worked for me anyway ....
  2. Uber drivers have won the right to be classed as workers rather than self-employed. Wow this is a major win. Maybe this will be just the start http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-37802386 "The ruling by a London employment tribunal means drivers for the ride-hailing app will be entitled to holiday pay, paid rest breaks and the National Minimum Wage. The GMB union described the decision as a "monumental victory" for some 30,000 drivers in England and Wales. Uber said it would appeal against the ruling that it had acted unlawfully. The San Francisco-based company had argued that its drivers were not employees but self-employed contractors. The landmark ruling could affect tens of thousands of people who work for companies with similar business models such as Deliveroo. Maria Ludkin, legal director at the GMB, which brought the case, said: "This is a monumental victory that will have a hugely positive impact on drivers... and for thousands more in other industries where bogus self-employment is rife."
  3. I agree, but then again being employed you have a certainty you are going to get the same amount of money every month and you can make plans
  4. And if you look in terms and condition you dont understand shit and then they will find a reason not to pay, as all of them
  5. Yes but the life itself is 3x times cheaper than London so still good
  6. And take some food with you as the que is huge and you might need it
  7. I know is school holiday but there are a billion drivers and they still recruit new drivers, they dont care that we have to pay the amount of money every month??? or what?? How they do the research when it comes to recruiting new drivers?
  8. "The reason Uber [is] expensive is because you’re not just paying for the car — you’re paying for the other dude in the car. When there’s no other dude in the car, the cost of taking an Uber anywhere becomes cheaper than owning a vehicle." Travis Kalanick in May 2014 Guys you are a huge liability, for those who cant see it i feel sorry, those who know what a liability means in any business i am sure you have a second plan Uber is absolutely desperately to get rid of us and it doesn't hide it, you still have the power being the supplier of his business, in any business the supplier have big or low bargain power, as an individual that power is very low but as a group-unity then the power becomes high and when the power is high the supplier can decide the future of the business this is why uber doesn't want unions and drivers to be united I am sure nobody will pay attention to this and will ignore it, for uber the more dumb you are the better.... Rating system is just a method of control to make you feel more individual and not being part of something bigger. What i am saying here you can google for your self, is called the PORTERS 5 FORCES and is one of the most important tool for Marketing strategy used by every company in the world: New Entrants - the risk of another cab company entering on the market Suppliers - you, the drivers Buyers - uber clients Substitutes - Addison Lee, Tomato Cars, Black Cabs ... http://fortune.com/2016/08/18/uber-must-be-first/
  9. You will not find this info anywhere but it is for real, if the parking sign is altered then the officer cant give you a ticket !! If for example the pay and display sign is from 9am t0 4pm and the 4pm has a sticker on it(is not visible) then you cant get a ticket!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Avery-Dennison-Zweckform-Letter-Stickers/dp/B000KJMBL2/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1471521064&sr=8-13&keywords=black+stickers
  10. Do you have like business cards in the car? and give them to customers?
  11. IF you pick from Chelsea and drop at Gatwick then wait another 1h at Gatwick -have a break whatever- is better to get a job getting paid to get into town than driving empty, i dont know
  12. There is a long queue of drivers with exec cars waiting to be accepted on the platform, at the moment working on X platform because they did not think when they bought the car, 30k car and doing X jobs. Thousands of them....of course there are more EXEC drivers, some of them they slip between I can only hope they will get some glimmer of intelligence and give the car back if they can, soon very soon those cars will need money to be spend on them its called MAINTENANCE Or maybe some of them they love driving a 30k car and do £5 jobs - woahahahaha
  13. IS going to be a big hit for UBER i guess, not so much new meat for them. 40% of the new drivers are leaving Uber in the first year any way, now will be 40% less new drivers or the rent companies will thrive because they can afford much cheaper fleet insurance
  14. You can exchange it mate, just need to go to the post office, get the forms and send your current driving license along with some other form of id and you will receive your UK driving license in about 2 weeks time. But to be able to work for Uber you need the PCO license, which is a different story, you need to have your driving license for at least 3 years and will cost you around £470 and 1 month time to get it.
  15. There is a long que for people waiting to be accepted on Exec platform....
  16. The problem with Eclass is that Uber doesn't accept drivers for Exec category so i am guessing the demand will not be high. £192/week is with VAT included? if yes then is a very good price indeed comparing with the price you pay for a Prius which is around £150/week VAT included
  17. This is the proof !! How can you explain? Car on Bartholomew LN and the guy from Cornhill gets the job??? I w
  18. Guys tonight i got the confirmation: 1- if you want to drive for uber exec you can do it for £500 paid discretely to someone from Uber office 2- there is a guy who has more than 20 cars under UberLux platform and you can drive for him if you want, he is paying you £95/day for 12 hours shift. I talked with one guy who is working for this lad and he is making around £700 daily, you do the math......i mean, how is possible to have such a huge difference ???? I have more info...soon ps: how do you explain that all the new UberX drivers who are paying 25% are more busy than the old drivers who are paying at the moment 20%???
  19. Decision Reserved for now Will the Uber app be declared a meter??
  20. IS just a joke mate, some guys trying to make a name by acting in favor of uber drivers
