  1. Hello!I applied for an PCO Licence 1 month ago and 1 week ago I received a letter from the topographical assessment team which said not to call them cause they would contact me. Does anyone know how long it takes until that happens? I think I've already waited a pretty long time and haven't even had the topographic test yet. Should I wait for them or is it just a waste of time and maybe I should call? Cheers!

This is from London mate, in Manchester I was just visiting. I agree long hours indeed, but then again many people work for £1,300/month and they don't have the luxury to own a car. Nothing is perfect mate

Impressive hours there, but not impressive earnings for you hard work. You deserve alot more for those hours. Your hours average over 10 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK! to earn that. Add on other time for having a break, tiredness. Time out on the road could well be 80+ hours. This is not sustainable at all for most people for many reasons. . . . And these figures are NOT your earnings. Most people rent a car at around £200. To work that many hours on the road (70 hours+) will cost well over £100 diesel. Other costs add up to over £20 per week. Take the above costs off. You will then have your earnings. Oh, and tax and national insurance to come out of your own pocket. Doing those long hours is dangerous to you and your customers. Also it is damaging to physical and mental health and wellbeing. The amount of Uber cars/private hire cars involved in accidents due to tiredness is a big problem for the trade. Are these the figures from when you worked in Manchester?

    UberX with 2016 exec cars??

I had an older E class to start with so can work both platforms here in Liverpool. The car is going up for sale as the executive work we do get doesn't make up for it.

are they allowed to use the name taxi? I think they have to change their name first right , 15% commission is good but how they will attract customers I wonder
