Of course can afford to pay those £3mil, is nothing for them compared with the net gross from London market, but those small other companies which represent maybe 30% from the market will slowly slowly disappear,

If a local company cab company cant afford to pay the new rates and close down, where do you think their customers will move to??? Uber ;)

Uber pays £3mil but gains much more on the long term, good deal ! Well done for them

where i live there 3 local combanies, no more than 60 drivers each, long history but they already lost around 30% of their customers -the young ones, only the old people still call . And now with this increase you can imagine they have to put the rent up for drivers and then the chain of reactions will start in their de-favour ;). Maybe they can survive for another couple years and then that it. close down!

    Indeed well done Uber!!

  4. Sometimes riders might give their trip a low rating for reasons beyond your control – such as an issue with the app.

Previously, these ratings would have counted towards your overall rating, even if they weren’t a reflection of your service. Now, these ratings won’t count towards your score. Uber will still get the feedback to help us improve but it won’t impact your overall rating.

GUESS WHAT, the rating from different minorities background will still be low!!!

I am curious about this change if we can feel it?

    • We regularly hear of drivers delivering great service so now, if your rider thinks you deserve more than just “Thanks for the ride!”, they will have the option to leave you a tip through the app.
    • Once the trip has finished, your rider will see the option to leave a tip when they rate you. We’ll take care of the rest, debiting it from their preferred payment method and adding it to your payments. 100% of the tip goes to you.
    • You can keep track of any tips by going to the earnings tab in your app.
    •
    • WOW, this is something !

So they aer paying £500 referral for new drivers before september audition, what does it mean? they know for sure the licence will not be a problem:blink:

Another 10% increase for time needed to make same amount of money with this wave of new drivers, every autumn same pattern, sick of it

But how does it work? if they don't know for sure if the  PCO operator licence will be extend or not????

    Please someone explain to me???

  6. HI !

My 61 520d auto is in the garage for timing chains replacement.

i have bought it to use it 7 months ago...it has 120k on the clock now....all ok until monday morning...when at start starting the noise ....i went to 4 different garages i was quoted from 1300 to 2500 for the job.

Now is in for work to a specialist garage ..i will post the name and price when is done...is  the there for 3 days now...engine has to come out...Also they discovered that the DPF partially blocked...is kind of normal when you do 3.6 miles/hr in London ....mine was regenerating 3 times a day!!!!!! and start driving like s...

    Had a MERC before this an 06 plate 320....MUCH BETTER...i DONE 276K.

I Think seriosly to sell it as there are no many exec jobs anyway and join the prius fleet.

    I agree Bobby , i spend £3000 with my current 520 F10 and before that i had the E320, great car .

Or maybe we should have chosen the 530D????

How is 530? i don't see any timing chain problem on the internet

My one was done in London, SE, DandT wise
