Yes indeed but is not that much of difference if count the problems you can have with a diesel, these days the petrol engines give a very good mpg, 328 is around 31 but definitely UberX i will always chose a hybrid car
Mercedes C220 is a very good car but why not E220 ?
-
is it just me or job requests is increasing day by day, i mean from a 12 hours shift, engine was running for 11 hours
what do you feel?
-
LPG in diesel is impossible, but for a petrol engine i found it very good investment on long term
-
I agree, i just verified some of the jobs and have a fare adjustment for a £41 job, leaving me with just £20!!!!!!
Unbelievable, good topic otherwise will never realized
-
cool survey but where the results are shared?
and what is the purpose?
-
I will not mind a fraud job when is quiet but when is busy in the city i will be pissed off coz maybe you can make more money and less hassle

Thanks for you replies.
I have read that Uber accepts 09 cars an beyond only. I have seen Mondeo's and Insignia's for around 3-5k
So far from reading this forum it does sound believable of making 300ish profit a week.
I dont think is ok to buy a 09 plate, i will advise you to go for 11 plate, not such a big difference but less mileage and you can use it until 2017, 09 plate just this year, there is no point for investing in 09 plate

Hi there...compliments on a great site.
May I ask a couple of questions...
1. Penalty points - For fixed penalty speeding offences; am I right in saying that they have a life of 4 years on a licence. I know that for totting up purposes its 3, am not sure what view Uber takes.
2. Car - I understand car has to be under 5 years old to join Uber. Does this mean once your in, the car you drive can never fall beyond 5 years old?
If anyone can give me a heads up on this Id be very grateful, thanks.
HI there and welcome,
1- I know points stay on ur license for 3 years, sometimes every year you get minuus 1 point.
you can not drive for uber if you have more than 6 points!!
2- car has to be minim 2010 to be able to join uber and you will be able to use that car this year and next one .
is alwasy better to ask them by email before buying the car, just to have the confirmation!!
Hope it helps

This is so wrong at many different levels, i remember in the beginning we used to have £6 bonus for every job done, so if you have done 100 jobs, that was extra £600 and now they are taking back those money with extra interest:)))) nice one UBER

BIRMINGHAM IS GROWING!
Uber launched in Birmingham in mid-February and is proving to be one of the fastest growing cities in the world! Referrals work across the UK and with Birmingham being such a new city, there is big potential to earn huge bonuses!
Refer all of your PCO licensed friends and earn £150 for each new driver who joins Uber. You can refer directly from the Uber Partner app in just a few easy steps! Don't forget that we also operate in Manchester and Leeds and the bonuses still apply.

From Thursday to Sunday morning, yes , is a good plan.
I just hate drunk and rude people, if you're drunk and quiet i don't mind as long you don't vomit in my car, omg

I will always say GOOGLE MAPS, i have been using it in the last 3 years, is just all you need, if you have data on your phone.
With google you can find anything, i mean anything, name of the block of flats, restaurants, you name it.....
TomTom is just to slow for me, i use the navi from my car to check some quick shortcuts when i don't know the area.

Depends, maybe your car value is less than the part ( maybe the turbo system), than of course is wise to sell to scrap guys or used parts if u love it:)
Othen than that, i will always use as musch as i can genuine parts

For me, anything more than 200k. I tend to get rid of the cars around 150k, but depends now, with a prius you done have any headache
-
omg, i have the same problem. I really hate it, your car smell so good and then you have some tipsy clients out from the restaurant smelling some curry from their favorite indian place , bleah
