Driver rights On Friday the employment appeal tribunal unsurprisingly upheld the earlier decision that Uber drivers were workers.

Uber will appeal again, but how many will claim their rights I am curious? 10%, 20%? what is the pro and con?

Is already talks for group suit , sexual offence i think, the pattern is set, no turning back

How do you think Uber calculates which driver receives the job???

Maybe  a queue of all drivers within 5 minutes reach to the customer, based on driver’s waiting time, distance and rating or car age?

I think is just rating and car age!!!

Is definitely the car, I mean i have guys just starting with Uber but new car and making money more than those from 2013 for example although the last one is more experienced

In terms of the symptoms of the carbon build-up, typically the noise from the engine contains all the usual tick over noises and fans/pulleys, but is very 'bass-heavy' with a lot of low level rumble, shaking, etc. With the process I'm using this typically disappears within the first 10 minutes and the car idles better. The revs then climb quicker and any flat spots (if carbon related) are eliminated.

The rumble is down to the engine struggling, with added friction, reduced 'breathing'. Remove the carbon and the bass notes disappear, the engine works better and as a result you can recover MPG (notice I didn't say gain).

My car does this, have you ever tried this new thing called hydrogen engine cleaner??

Components such as Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (EGR), Turbo and Injectors can all dramatically benefit from the removal of carbon using Green Engine Machine.....they say

Have you tried yet? if so , how is it?

  4. TESLA 3 will be the best option for Uber although i heard they dont allow to use it for Uber, tesla is the best as you dont pay anything for the fuel just £1.5 for full charge at the supercharger stations which are everywhere

  5. Is growing , yes, in drivers number. Everybody is complaining, long que for exe and lux as well. September is coming and people are starting to come back to work and we will feel some improvement but it will be just temporarily because they will start very soon to take new exec and lux drivers so the balance will fall again...

remember Travis he said that in 2016 more than 40k drivers will work for Uber :(

  6. Hi

Was hoping some experienced London Uber drivers could give me some advice really.

I have a 9-5 Mon-Fri and want to be pro active and earn more money, every Uber driver I have met speaks so highly of it and claim that they may a killing (albeit 4-5 hundred a week).

I am thinkin of signing up I have been told the PCO process is about £350 all in, then a suitible car £3-4K mark - Insignia or Mondeo. Then 20% Uber commision then the commericial insurance.

My question is, is it worth my while working thursday, friday and Saturday nights? Can I realistically earn £300 profit a week? If not what is realistic a month?

    Look forward to your replies!

    £3-4k???

You need at least 2010 model so you can drive another 2 years. I dont think you can buy with £4k a decent car from 2010, can you???

  7. Chicago now serves as home to an Uber fleet comprised of 25 all-electric cars. They're not Tesla Model S vehicles like that Uber ride Engadget's editors hailed back in 2013, though -- they're BYD e6 EVs straight from China. Uber has teamed up with Chinese automaker BYD or "Build Your Dream" in an effort to help its drivers either buy or lease new cars. While it seems odd that the company has chosen to partner with BYD instead of with manufacturers more well-known in the country like Tesla, e6s are larger thanmany other EVs. It's already being used by a chauffer service in London (and a taxi company in Hong Kong) for that reason.
