LPHDN
Private Hire Drivers have your say! Private Hire Regulations ReviewConsultation Closes 19th June 2015 TfL Taxi & Private Hire Department are looking for the views of trade members, customers and stakeholders of all sorts on some suggested changes or on other aspects of the regulations. Where possible, they have asked you to provide evidence or examples in support of your comments. The responses to this consultation will be considered and taken into account in deciding whether to act on these proposals, or other proposals that are put forward. If appropriate, we will revise the appropriate Regulations. We may conduct a further consultation if ideas are put forward that need more detailed consideration.Email: Consultations@tfl.gov.ukOnline Form: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/tph/private-hire-regulations-review/consultation/intro/view This is the only chance you will get to have your say so I urge you all to complete the online form or send them an email. Stop letting Taxi Trade & Operators dictate all the terms! Do something whilst you have the chance, communicate this to your friends & family and get them involved. Please kindly make the following key point to make our trade better & viable! Set minimum per mile rate for London Private Hire without cap on higher limit thus allowing healthily competition and making the trade viable. Tougher route knowledge test (Potential PHV drivers will have to practice basic runs in order to pass the PHV Knowledge of London exam (This ensures we have PHV drivers who can navigate the city) Basic English speaking ability test (ESOL Level 2 or KET Level 2). Toilet facility and rest area for PHV drivers! (We pay 75% of TfL TPH budget yet get nothing at all) A driver complaints procedure against licensed operators who abuse drivers. Revoke Operators Licence if an Operator is found to be abusing drivers or enforcing employee rules on a self employed driver. More enforcement to eradicate touts (these illegal touts gives our trade a bad name & are danger to the public) We can continue to complain about exploitation and quarrel with each other however until we start to voice our concern to the right people nothing will be done. We can carry on with status quo and move to many operators as we like but this will NOT resolve the issues we have had within our trade for many years. So please take this opportunity and voice your concerns! You have just ONE chance & this maybe your ONLY chance! phv-regs-review_final.pdf EdwardPr
sfusion
Looks complicated mate, you should attach a file like an example how to complete There are plenty of fields which could be misleading
LUED
Though I agree with all 7 points mentioned, I don't feel too happy giving my personal details to TfL. As if they haven't got enough information on you already.

sfusion
I tried to, but no chance. well done Lued, how long to finish it??
LUED
Quite long, it's 21 pages/screens long, though there's only one or two questions per screen, most of them require full answers, with explanations. If you enter your e-mail address, you can save the survey at any point, and come back to it at a later date.
