I use Waze. Regularly updated, especially with road closures, and instant traffic updates. 

Oil is changed when the car is in for a service, which I take in when the service is due, every 15,000 miles. I've done this for the past 6 years doing this job, and never had a problem. 

As per the manufacturer guidelines - i.e. whenever it says on the dash it required a service, about every 15,000 miles.

I wouldn't worry until you get a warning e-mail from Uber about your rating. 

As a passenger, I've ridden in plenty of 4.4-4.5 rated drivers, and a 4.3 on Exec!

In order for Uber to grow, they will have to make the fares cheaper than the cost or running and owning a car for that journey.

Great for the passenger, but not sure how it's going to work out for the driver, who has the necessary expenses to pay, as well having to live. 

Usually issues at pick ups. The passenger isn't there, ready and waiting by the kerb side, ready to get in the car when you pull up. You may be expected to wait on a red route during enforceable hours, with a risk of getting a ticket. Sometimes the GPS position is wrong on either your phone or the passenger's phone, so they're where the app says they should be. Finally, if they're at the pick up point when you arrive, they're either in an unsafe, or an illegal spot (e.g. on zig-zag lines by a crossing). 

You may find to make good money in London, you have to know your way around, it's no use getting lost and having annoyed passengers. 

Most of the top drivers tend to work long hours, and knock the jobs out as soon as they come in. They know the shortcuts, back streets, etc. 

They are usually, ex-couriers (doing the job before sat nav came about), on the Knowledge, or have been in the job for years
