  2. After three half-days as a driver, 26 rides, 411 dollars earned and meeting many interesting people, I only really have a single negative thing to say about the experience. It's how society treat drivers. Come to think of it, it occurred to me that taxi drivers are low on the social totem pole, which I think is terrible. I hope that Uber will help people open up their cars more and maybe remove this stigma. Because it's carsharing, not a taxi service. 6. If you use the app Uber, you're probably not tipping your drivers. While tipping is not required, you have the option to give your driver a cash gratuity if you wish. But many Uber users don't seem to know they can do this. Whether you like it or not, we live in a country with a tipping culture, and giving someone a few extra pounds to reward good service is just a nice thing to do. A few extra pounds here and there can improve a driver's income significantly over time.
  7. Uber is revolutionising transportation in cities as it promises to take hundreds of thousands of cars off the roads in years to come. And it has made itself incredibly rich in the process, with the most recent funding round pegging the driver-on-demand startup as worth an estimated $40 billion. Morgan Stanley has now estimated exactly where Uber customers' cash goes. Just 50% actually goes into the driver's pocket, with fuel, insurance and finance charges among the other costs. Uber's own fee is the single largest cost after salary, taking 20% of the total. http://uk.businessinsider.com/uber-customer-cost-breakdown-morgan-stanley-2015-2?r=US
  8. A vigilante private hire car driver who gained notoriety in Australia for performing citizens arrests on Uber drivers has come to London with the intention of toppling Uber's empire. If you recognize him, do not begin the trip, invent something:) http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/uber-vigilante-russell-howarth-has-high-hopes-shutting-down-london-operations-1490836
  9. And one more time, we just finish to pay for the old phone and now we have to start again:) It;s all just a commercial thing, we have octo core 100megapixel camera but for fk sake , what about the battery, is the same technology as 10 yeas ago. 10. Definitely for Uber X, best option is Prius, Civic. For Uber exec i will say Mercedes E class, more reliable than 5 series , specially those Bmw F10 520d with that N47 timing chain problem!!! For Uber lux i don't know what to say, it;s all about perception in the end
  11. Finally a good news!!! Drivers will be given a 10 minutes' grace period after a parking ticket runs out before they can be fined. The concession will apply to all on-street and off-street council parking spots in England under changes to the law. Ministers claim the new rule, which will come into effect within weeks, will "end the war on drivers." It will apply to cars parked in a pay-and-display bays or other spaces with time limits. Other measures under the Deregulation Bill include a ban on CCTV camera cars that automatically issue parking fines, except in sensitive areas such as near schools and in bus lanes. Residents and local firms will also be given the right to demand their council reviews parking in their area. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/drivers-to-be-given-10-minutes-grace-period-for-parking-tickets-before-they-can-be-fined-10089817.html
