  1. Motorists have been hit with more than £500 million in fines since variable speed limits were introduced on UK roads in 2013 – with research revealing that one in eight of those caught simply didn’t realise lower speed limits were being enforced THis is it, soon we will have auto-pilot cars, smart motorways, 0 jobs http://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/revealed-the-smart-motorways-most-likely-to-hit-you-with-a-ticket/ar-BBBbYGA?li=AA8sb7&ocid=spartandhp

  2. We get all sorts over here and with knowlsey council lifting the knowledge exams lads are coming from all over to be licensed by that council. We see alot of Tfl also in Liverpool I personally drop off in Manchester and head back to Liverpool. No need to hang around there in my opinion

  3. Maybe. Earnings are irrelevant though, it's the amount of profit you make, which mattters. Going by your figures, I'd reckon it would cost more than £40 extra a day to run a brand new £70,000 LWB Lux car, compared to a 8 year old Prius (I know these are the extreme ends of the scale, but it's perfectly possible). Therefore, an experienced X driver who knows where the work and knows their way around London, will earn more in their 8 year old Prius (who paid cash outright for their car), than the new Lux driver, who has just entered the trade, financed to the hilt, with £1k monthly leasing payments. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity.

  6. We have approximately over a 1000 drivers who live in Birmingham but have a TFL private hire licence because obtaining and Birmingham and solihull license is very hard.
