Parmentier
Hello there, I'm planning to come to London (from France) and start the Uber adventure. My question is : Do I need to be a resident for say x days before applying for British driving licence ? Can I just come to the UK, exchange my current French driving licence and start driving with Uber? Thanks
anonymous
You can exchange it mate, just need to go to the post office, get the forms and send your current driving license along with some other form of id and you will receive your UK driving license in about 2 weeks time. But to be able to work for Uber you need the PCO license, which is a different story, you need to have your driving license for at least 3 years and will cost you around £470 and 1 month time to get it. Parmentier
Thank you for your answer. When you say I need to have my driving licence for at least 3 years, do you mean the British driving licence? Or the French one?
