There is a trick to stop immediately a bailiff :
Appeal the PCN by making a what is called a statutory declaration (or "stat dec") and a witness statement.
After the issue of a Warrant of Execution you can still make a Witness Statement but in order to do so you will have to get and complete an "Out of Time Witness Statement Form"
TEC will send you the forms to complete.
When you have completed the forms, email them back Traffic Enforcement Centre tec.bulkcentre@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk or bailiffs@northampton.countycourt.gsi.gov.uk
Enforcement action is suspended usually by 4pm the same day under Paragraph 8.1 of Practice Direction 75.8
The law says the warrant of execution ceases to have effect and the authority must inform any bailiff instructed to levy execution of the withdrawal of the warrant as soon as possible.
