JPH82
Hi all, been into my local hub but they're NEVER there. I'm buying a car and just want some clarification on something. The way I understand it is, if I buy for example an E Class the requirement is for it to be 2009 or newer. If I purchase a 2012 car I can use it for 3 years on the platform
anonymous
If you buy 2012 you can use it until 2020 minimum with uber , but from 2020 things will be different regarding congestion charge in London. If you buy 2012 make sure you can still put the licence on it, as it might be more than 5 years old already and you cant do it
JPH82
On the exec platform? I'm up in Liverpool so will check with the council about there requirements. Just didn't want to buy into a car that o can only use a couple of years. It's not clear with uber at all

JPH82
I did consider it but at £880 a month it seems silly. Putting a money aside each month for maintenance/tyres still seems me well under half that cost. Just need to clarify how it works dukeofuber
dukeofuber
In London for E class, you pay around £500 per motnh for 30k miles per year, £880 is way too much. What is the mileage limit? for £880 and what car? On 12/02/2017 at 9:33 AM, JPH82 said: I did consider it but at £880 a month it seems silly. JPH82
That was for a pre licensed Prius on unlimited mileage. I've bit the bullet and bought the Mercedes as uber come back with a reply stating that there is no restriction once on the platform

cardinal
As uncertain this industry is, i will not advise anyone to go for finance, rental is way less risky
